Project Management Peace

$47

Let's bring peace back to your projects.

You’ve tried Trello. You’ve tried Asana. You’ve tried ClickUp. And you’re still missing deadlines, losing tasks, and feeling drowned in To-Dos.

What gives?

Here’s a secret the apps don’t tell you: project management software is not a project management system.

Technology is great for organizing and displaying your data. It’s not so great at adapting to your workstyle to actually get things done. It’s a tool to make your system more efficient, but it’s not the whole story.

It’s time to think outside the software box when it comes to your project management to define your own custom-made, tailored-just-to-you system that adapts to your workstyle, keeps you in flow, and helps you stay organized.

Questions You May Have

What do I receive with my purchase?

You'll be able to access the 10 training videos in Notion, complete with notes and transcripts. You will also receive copies of my training script, slides, flowcharts, and a flowchart template to help you build your system out visually. You can take the course in your browser like any other program, or you can duplicate the entire training into your own Notion workspace.

What exactly does this training cover?

This training is all about creating a software-independent project management system. We’ll chat about shifting your mindset around productivity, understanding your personal workstyle, creating a personalized project workflow, building routines to stay on top of your progress, evaluating your current project management app, and more. It's about 70-minutes of fluff-free training.

Do I need to use a certain software, or run a certain type of business, for this to be relevant to me?

No! The purpose of this training is to create a system that doesn’t rely on any particular piece of tech. It was written with service providers specifically in mind, but I’m sure everyone (including non-business owners) will find value in the training.

So, who is this not for?

If you’re someone who knows you work best with as little structure around your work as possible, this training may not be a good option for you. It’s also not a great option for anyone looking for help with the tech side of PM (e.g, if you want software tutorials), or if you’re looking for PM templates. Finally, if you are totally hands-off in the project management of your business, you may not find the training helpful, but I do encourage you to chat with your team to see whether they’re interested in attending!

This course covers:

🟢 How to define your own project hierarchy.
Move beyond the built-in hierarchy of your app and get clear on how each level of your work flows into the next. This training will help you determine whether you prefer a one-step hierarchy of projects flowing into tasks, or if you work best with major initiatives flowing into multiple levels to track more granular progress.
🟢 How to understand your preferred Zone of Action.
Learn how to organize tasks in a way that makes it easy for you to get in “flow”, easily transition from one task to another, and get the right things done. We’ll go over five Zones of Action, breakdown what might make each level right for you, and how you can implement your Zone of Action in any given PM app.
🟢 How to contextualize tasks in a way that makes sense to you.
Finally understand how to leverage the right custom fields and metadata to make your work make sense. We’ll talk about going beyond the data the apps think you should have and determining the information you want to better see how your work connects.
🟢 How to create routines that keep your system up-to-date.
No matter how robust your project management app is, it’s going to take some work from you to keep it functioning. We’ll talk about deciding what you need and want to do to keep your system working, how your bandwidth impacts your routines, and options for staying on top of task management.
🟢 ...And, yes, how to find the app that works best for your system.
Once you understand your overarching project management system, you’ll have a better idea of what you need out of your app. We’ll talk about potential dealbreakers, the different types of apps available, and how to create your new management structure in any tool that feels right for you.
